To achieve our mission, KIPP Adelante offers all students a rigorous, college preparatory academic program. Within this academic program, students are held to high expectations and are supported in a myriad of ways to ensure their success. In addition to extra supports such as tutoring and after-hours homework help via KIPP cell phones, student achievement is facilitated by our unique school structure:
More Time on Task
- Daily classes from 7:30 am – 5:00 pm
- Longer days allow time for all academic and enrichment classes
- Saturday classes once a month
Exposure to Opportunities
- Monthly field lessons to educational and cultural sites in Southern California
- End-of-year field lessons to cities such as Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, and Washington DC.
Team and Family
- Small School environment
- Teachers are available by phone at night for homework questions and emergencies
- Parents are supported and expected to be partners in their students’ education

Rigorous Standards
All students will complete:- An Algebra 1 course-gatekeeper for college preparatory high school classes
- A challenging literature-based English-Language Arts program
- Laboratory-based science course
- High School Placement course
